Mobile phones are well known to be very power consuming during charging instances. It is often the case that the power supply is continued well after the phones get completely charged. Wouldn't it be sensible to have an in-built alarm that indicates the state of fully charged and there-by induce us to cut off the power supply.
One of my students Srividhya Rajagopal suggested that the afore-mentioned feature will be useful in Digital Camera Chargers.
Even Air-conditioners activating devices can have an in-built alarm to help save power.
